Another visual graphic by POSITIVIA. I've been working with my D'Angelico Excel DC for over a year working on tones and more. Now it was time to get my acoustics out front. For this video I used my Godin Multiac SA nylon string guitar. Plugged direct into my PC and Mixcraft Pro 10 DAW. Thank you for watching!

Recorded this blues last year and it sounded kind of old style...and yet its not. Found these great photos of the prohibitiion era and thought they would go well with the music.

I loved your upload on "The Time Machine" documentary, so i checked out your channel. You have a very good, eclectic taste. I noticed your "blues" playlist only had one video. You might like Larry Howard's Cornerstone Blues Jam. It is Christian, but the talent is so amazing with lots of performers. My favorite is probably a cover of Eric Clapton's "Presence of the Lord." One of my all time favorite singer and musician is featured on that track. A guy named Glen Keiser. He has a lot of solo stuff, but some of his best stuff was from his band Ressurection Band, and later shortened to just Rez Band.
You are right about my very limited blues list. I’ll have to correct that. I will check out the names you offer here. I appreciate your suggestions. I have no problem with Christian music. I did six years with a worship group. The talent around me was unbelievable. From the head of the jazz department from UC Davis to the founder of Mellenia Audio.
@@syn707 wow! Nice! Glad to hear it!
Hi Robert. I'm not sure which impresses me more: your musical or graphic prowess. Are you using a GK-5 to drive the synths?
EDIT #3..lol I can’t say much about the graphics. With a newer editor I’ve learned to use the native processes in it to some degree. I’m using an old Digitech RP1000 effects processor and a Roland GR55 with my D’Angelico Excel DC. Normally you run the guitar using Roland 13 pin and a small patch cord to the GK pickup utilizing the Roland’s synth and COSM guitar processor. But I plugged the guitar directly to the Digitech running two separate outputs to the computer, panning then left and right. Thank you for your generous comment.
This album was the start of everything. The literate sleeve notes were an introduction to modern thinking about everything. I wore out three copies. Played air guitar to Siouthbound Train when I was about 16. Never did sort that one out. WIan Buchanan's Winding Boy is still my 'wake up fingers!' call every morning still.
Nice song, with that cool guitar ! ❤
Great guitar
Great guitar. Reminded me of J J Cale

Feeling down too. Haven't heard from a friend in sometime. Worried about him and his family. Can get you down!
Excellent music. Great mix
Thank you. Stupid question but, do you do your own mixing etc? Because they are great sounding.
Yes, I mix and master myself. Takes way longer than creating the music
@@georgeguitar LOL I know. A friend of mine once told me, "I have become a Knob Twiddler!.
Great playing
I do try. In my old age, I'm learning to accept my limitations.

Hey visitor, put on closes. Don't come to the earthy as you are. Put on closes. i warned.

Very nice phrasing. I also like the "Wes Montgomery/George Benson" octaves, and the sparse use of double stops. Well done. I enjoyed my listen.
Thank you, Steve. Really what I am doing with my latest videos is working towards getting the best tones using the D’Angelico and my old Digitech RP1000 effects box. Once I’m happy with a handful of tones, I’ll plug into a Roland Street Cube Ex which I use to busk with, and attempt to get the same sounds as I do going into mt pc. It’s a ghastly amp but it’s pretty much the best battery amp going.
I remember Quiet Village. If you still have the 45, turn it over and listen to the Llama Serenade (aka The Peruvian Llama song). Excellent clean tone on that D'Angelico. Nice composition.
I used to have the 45, or ‘a’ 45 by Martin Denny but it wasn’t his original recording. I’ll see if Ican find the Peruvian Llama. I like my D’Angelico but I won’t pretend it’s anything like John D’Angelico’s hands would have created.
Just listened to the Llama song. To me it had a Chinese feel to it so Issked my wife what she thought and she said it had a South American feel. What do I know? Have a great New Year!
Great tone and chops. Enjoyed this one.
Thank you kind Sir!
Very nice. I had my cat Buddy sit on my lap to watch and listen to this. We both enjoyed it...uh..well, he enjoyed it up to the part where he fell asleep.
My mother loved this song.
Your mother was a jewel. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have two daughters, Holly and Ivy. They both have broken my heart. I have not spoken to them in thirteen years. I’m starting to cry.
It’s never too late for forgiveness, but trust me, I do understand. Merry🎄Christmas to you.
Really nice Robert; I enjoyed the bluesy foundation with your jazzy blues guitar.
Hey Dennis, thank you. Really nice to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and your loved ones.
It was great to see your video show up. doing well here. I just posted a video that took me a couple of months to do. I needed strings so had to learn how to use a plugin and midi programing (not through a keyboard controller. Its not something I'm likely to use much but it was good for my brain to learn some new things. Have a great holiday and keep on picking that guitar.@@syn707

Louis Jordan was a great musician way ahead of his time.
Bringer of bad news here. In February 2023, the gentleman sitting to the right passed away. His name is Dan Scott and was a local musician. He's played in various bands and for a local church. Days before his passing we learned we lived a few minutes from each other and planned to get together and play music.
This is my grandpa 😂
I do not know him but I I talked to him once via email. He’s done lot for Fierro!
I was born here in Grant County and lived here until I was about seven when my family moved out of state. I moved back home in 2020. I currently live in Fierro and as I'm trying to learn what I can about my past before we moved. I have memories of things that happened and my mom talked about Fierro and how she use to know a lot of people here because she use to clean houses and married a man named Richard Laura or Lara. He was a dog catcher in Hurley. I wish I could remember exactly what is was she said because she passed away a year ago and unfortunately left me with so many questions about my past. It was a nice surprise to find this video and as I'm watching it noticed that my mom and I are in the video!! The woman carrying the little girl in a white dress with a boyish brunette hair cut. With her was Richard and his kids. With this said I was hoping to find someone else that could help me out with some questions. I remember that I was fostered by a family around here that my mom said they wanted to adopt me and I would visit a family by the name Majalca. They had a very big garden in there back yard. Does anyone have any more information about it.
Celina, I am the person who uploaded this video and several others like it. My grandmother was born in Fierro and I have been researching about it for six years now. I have learned a lot but each piece of information only makes me realize how much I don’t know. I don’t know if I can answer your questions but I’d like to try.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my messages. Do you still live close to Fierro?
Thank You Idid see Jordan doing this number in Londoon
Holy cow!” That must have been something. It’s no wonder you have never forgotten that experience.
Hello, my dear friend. Very beautiful music. Relaxing music. Super. Thank you very much. Have a wonderful day. With love and support, Composer Yuriy Saliy.
Robert, this video and song were so great. You are a gifted guitarist!!! You remind me of Dan Scott playing. It was very meaningful to see that short clip of Dan. Maybe we can do a song together sometime. God bless you!!
Thank you, Larry. Very kind words indeed. Looking forward to meeting you...a shame it will be at a very emotional day.
The snow is beautiful I am originally from Rochester NY so we had lots of it. I miss looking at the snow but not the cold. Love the background music , is that you?
I can’t imagine New York snow. I’m originally from Sacramento, Calif. the only snow I experienced was in Lake Tahoe. But, it did snow lightly twice in Sacramento growing up. I understand about the cold. But, I’m out shoveling in shorts. My neighbors must think me odd!…lol The music is me. I have so many that I’ve done, I forgot this one. I worked on it more and thought it fitting for a winter video.
Beautiful. I am from the beautiful Penasco Valley. Homesick.❤Beautiful guitar also. Be blessed.
Hi ! Thanx for that ! How much of intro do you use before starting the theme ? I dont get good match with your drums breaks ….
I believe it’s 8 measures. I’ll confirm that later.
Wonderful! thanks for posting! So great!
